A) Enjoy Sabbath and the rest Jesus offers us (Mark 2:27-28).

Sabbath is a day where we stop, rest, delight, and worship God. We pause in the middle of our busyness and demands of life to be filled deeply in Jesus. Like other disciplines, it is not required, but certainly encouraged and impactful in our discipleship.

On Sabbath, we lay down the to-do's and say yes to rhythms and activities that allow us to experience more of God and the abundant life He offers us. It is typically practiced in a 24 hour window, but you could do this for 3 hours, 6 hours, or more. The point isn't to check the box, but to be intentional about resting as God did when He created the world and Jesus did as He did life on Earth.

Some ideas for activities on Sabbath: read a full book of the Bible, read another book, go for a long walk, take a nap, play a sport, have sex with your spouse, make a fun meal, spend time with community, put your phone and technology away, journal, draw, or create, the list could go on!

Here is one of our favorite resources to learn more about the Sabbath and how you can spend your time: Sabbath 01: Stop / The Rhythm of Creation

We will resume our programming focus tomorrow!

B) On Sunday's we take a rest day from our workouts.

We still encourage you to move during your day. Go for a long walk, play a sport, or do something you don't normally get to.
